Seawater

Seawater that makes up the oceans & seas covers 71% of the planet surface and represents 97% of the world’s water.

Seawater is a complex mixture of 96.5 percent water, 2.5 percent salts, and smaller amounts of other substances, including dissolved inorganic and organic materials, particulates, and a few atmospheric gases. Seawater typically is very salty (TDS >35,000 mg/l)

Our all-encompassing range of water treatment solutions and seawater desalination technologies are dedicated optimize the management of the water resources. Combined with local presence and International technology providers, we ensure our clients the best possible solutions to supply high quality water, manage brine concentrates, produce or recover energy, extract raw materials and capitalize on by-products.

Reverse Osmosis (RO)

As the name suggests, pressure is applied to seawater in order to separate substances like water and salt and thereby produce fresh water. Its relatively easy operation and low energy consumption make it ideal for all capacities – small, medium and large plants.

Al Dhow Seawater desalination systems are designed to convert seawater to drinking water, these seawater desalination systems use high quality SWRO reverse osmosis seawater desalination membranes. These systems use our proven technology to give reliable performance and meet the demanding requirements of the marine environment.

RO uses semi-permeating membrane to separate water from the solute in the seawater. In RO, most of the energy is needed to pressurize the feed water.

The seawater desalination by RO system consists of pre-treatment system, high pressure pump and RO membrane. The auxiliary units include water intake and effluent systems and power reception and transmission systems.

We offer a full range of both standard and custom engineered Seawater Desalination Reverse Osmosis Systems for applications ranging from yachts, cruise ships, boats to municipalities, hotels, resorts, military, off-shore platforms, and various industrial applications.
